Patient sues Jewish Hospital over data breach

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville hospital is facing a potentially devastating lawsuit over a major data breach. After a flash drive containing medical records of more than 24,000 patients disappeared from Our Lady of Peace Hospital, one of the patients on the list is suing Our Lady of Peace and its parent, Jewish Hospital.

"The fact of the matter is if this were someone who was in for an appendectomy, than invasion of privacy would be far less than in this setting," said Ken Henry, the attorney representing the patient.
